How to Choose a Display System
Compare sign standoffs, cable and rod displays, and picture hanging rails for your installation and purchasing requirements.
Start with the panel and mounting surface
Record the panel dimensions, thickness, material and weight. Identify whether it will mount to a wall, ceiling, floor or freestanding fixture. The supporting surface and its fixings must suit the complete display; a hardware component rating alone does not establish installation capacity.
Choose the mounting method
Standoffs hold panels away from a surface and suit permanent signs and directories. Face-mounted models require correctly positioned holes; edge-grip models hold the panel edge. Cable and rod systems suit suspended or multi-panel displays. Picture hanging rails allow artwork positions to change along a continuous track.
Check compatibility before ordering
Match the panel thickness, hole diameter, spacer length and thread details to the model drawing. For suspended systems, match cables or rods to their specified grippers, clamps and anchors. Ask for the applicable load limits and installation instructions for your chosen combination.
Prepare a comparable quotation
List model codes, finish codes, quantities, destination and schedule. Identify interior or exterior use and any exposure to moisture or corrosive conditions. Request a sample when appearance or fit is critical, and confirm current minimum quantities and lead time with sales.
